Bachelor of Arts, Politics and Governance • Ryerson University
Danielle graduated from Ryerson University in the spring of 2016, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Governance. During her undergraduate she focused her studies on public policy and international relations, paying particular attention to environmental and social policy.
Danielle was fortunate enough to spend the last year in South East Asia, spending most of her time there working as an English teacher at Sawan Anan Wittaya School in Sawankhaloke, Thailand. During her time there Danielle was responsible for curriculum development, organising a weekly extra-curricular French club, creating evaluative materials for over 500 students, and providing tutoring services.
Before leaving for South East Asia, Danielle had the opportunity to work as an Information Technology Intern at Loblaw, in Consumer Solutions Delivery. In this role, she conducted large-scale receipt data transferring for all banners under Loblaw, assisted with project management responsibilities, worked with the Innovation team to develop applications for internal and consumer use, and aided with event planning for the IT Department.
Danielle is currently employed at Stacked Pilates and Dance, an independent fitness studio in Mississauga, where she is responsible for scheduling classes and private consultations, providing exceptional customer service, running the business’ social media accounts, and organising an annual charity benefit.
In her spare time, Danielle enjoys travelling, cooking, reading fashion magazines and doing pilates. She hopes to build a career centred around implementing sustainability into the Canadian food industry.
