Crystal graduated from University of Waterloo in 2015 with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and a Diploma in Environmental Assessment. She completed her Bachelor degree with an Honours Environment and Business, Co-operative Program, and an Economics Minor. During her final year, she completed an Environment and Business capstone project about leveraging the tenant-landlord relationship in a sustainable building which was presented to Sustainable Waterloo Region. The project poster she designed also achieved one of the best posters. Crystal was a member in the Circle K International under the Kiwanis Club, and she was on the Dean’s Honour List twice.

As a Co-op student, Crystal had four work terms in undergraduate. She was employed as an Instructional Support Assistant at the Cheriton School of Computer Science at University of Waterloo. She enhanced leadership skills and communication skills through teaching tutorials and conducting office hours. This job developed her excellent skills of computing. Crystal also worked at SUNTEK Group Inc. as an Executive Administrative Assistant to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO). She applied her accounting skills and analytical and problem-solving skills in work space. Moreover, she got an internship opportunity at the Edleun Education Learning Universe Inc.. She had a chance to work for both Finance and Marketing department. Those work experience from different fields provided her valuable ideas to apply her sustainable knowledge into several areas.

Crystal is addicted to travelling, and she spent holidays to hike the Canadian Rockies. In her spare time, she also enjoys cooking, singing and photographing.
