Full directions to campus, transit and parking information are all available on the Directions & Parking page.

When You Arrive

Don't get lost! We've created useful walking directions, with step-by-step images, to help you find your way to our office when you get to campus. Please check in 10-15 minutes before the tour begins.

Making Time

Our regular campus tours are approximately 60 minutes; if you opt to see residence, plan for an additional 30 minutes.

What To Wear

Find your sweater, coat, boots, and/or umbrella because our tours will take place in rain or shine! Please dress appropriately.

On-Campus Residence

Visitors that select to see residences will stop for a brief orientation and guests will be able to tour Oscar Peterson Hall and/or Erindale Hall.

Questions To Ask on Your Tour

Not sure what to ask our student ambassadors leading your tour? Here are a few ideas to get you started. There's no "right" question, so ask anything that's on your mind.

  • What surprised you the most about UTM?
  • What would you tell your grade 12 self about UTM?
  • What's one thing you wish you'd asked before applying?
  • What would you tell someone deciding between UTM and other schools?

  • What's your favourite class you've taken?
  • I'm interested in [pick your favourite career], – what program would you recommend?
  • What helped you most when you were struggling in a course, or figuring out academic advising?

  • What helped you feel at home here? How did you make friends?
  • What's the campus community really like?
  • What's your favourite event or activity on campus?

  • Where is your favourite place to eat on campus?
  • What's campus like in the winter?
  • Any fun campus surprises — like the wildlife — you didn't expect?

  • How did you get involved on campus?
  • What clubs or teams are you part of?
  • Can I become a tour guide?
  • What opportunities have you had to gain experience outside the classroom — research, exchange, or otherwise? Learn about studying abroad
