A Few Notes

Second degree applicants can only pursue an Honours Bachelor of Arts (HBA) or an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) degree at U of T Mississauga.

Whether your previous undergraduate degree(s) is from another university, another U of T division, or U of T Mississauga, you must apply for a different area of study than your first degree.

The HBA or HBSc you pursue at U of T Mississauga may not include a program(s) in any of the same discipline(s) as the first degree. For example, if you completed a previous degree including a program in English, you may not complete a second degree including a program in English.

Please contact us if you have questions about whether the area of study you have studied in is different enough from what you intend on applying to.

Students beginning a second degree at U of T Mississauga are normally exempted from the first year of the degree requirements by being granted 5.0 credits, 4.0 at the 100 level and 1.0 at the 200 level, regardless of the number of previous degrees held.

Students who have a degree with a Major/Specialist (or equivalent) in either Commerce, Management, or Economics cannot do a BCom or a BBA as a second degree. This is due to the extensive overlap of courses in these degree programs.
