Bio

Farida Lenseni obtained her Bachelors degree in Packaging Science with a Minor in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from Michigan State University. Her academic background examined the connections between consumer focused packaging design, manufacturing feasibility and how both impact the environment through product lifecycle assessments.

Upon graduation, Farida worked as a Packaging Engineer for SC Johnson.  In this role, she has led the development and validation of new packaging components across many different product forms. This includes material light weighting,  incorporating  post consumer recycled content and designing unique packaging solutions to align with diverse waste management systems in global markets.

Farida hopes to pair her experience as a packaging engineer with the knowledge she will gain in the MScSM program to support initiatives seeking to bridge the gap between the complex challenges faced in the consumer packaged goods sector and waste management infrastructure.

In her spare time, she enjoys doing yoga, art museums, playing volleyball and watching movies.
