Bio
Anher Lamis graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration at the University of Dhaka. Prior to moving to Canada, she spent five and a half years at Deloitte Bangladesh, where she started as an Analyst and left as a Senior Consultant. Her work spanned human capital, policy reform, market assessments, and some of Bangladesh's earliest ESG and sustainability projects.
At Deloitte, Anher worked on a net-zero banking roadmap for a major financial institution, conducted market assessments for the World Bank on electric mobility, and co-authored thought leadership on ESG lessons for Bangladesh. These experiences taught her that sustainability is not just a technical challenge but a people problem. She saw how organizations could have perfect strategies on paper yet fail to implement them because of internal resistance, short-term thinking, and misaligned incentives. This particularly drew her to understand how human behavior and organizational culture shape sustainability outcomes.
Throughout her tenure at Deloitte, Anher also mentored multiple female junior colleagues, supporting their professional growth and advocating for equitable opportunities. She is deeply committed to advancing women's leadership in sustainability and beyond. Anher moved to Canada with her family in 2025 and is eager to apply her consulting background to sustainability management in a new context.
Outside of work, you can find her binge-watching Korean dramas, getting deeply invested in true crime documentaries, pretending she is a graceful swimmer (she is not, but she tries), and reading romcoms more often than she would like to admit.
