Recently, he was elected as President of the MScSM Class of 2016 and is currently working with the executive student committee to enhance student experiences in the program. He has also participated in various business related conferences including ‘Show Me the Green 2012’ where he captained his team to first place, the ‘Young Entrepreneurs’ Challenge’ where he helped his team to second place, and the LIVE Conference. He has also served as a Founding Member for a student run charity club which raised $32,000 in under two years, and has tenured as the Vice-Chair for the ‘Show Me the Green 2013’ conference which was hailed by its sponsors as the ‘best conference of the year’.

During the summer, Rahim interned at Ivanhoe Cambridge (IC), a real estate management company with assets totalling over 42 billion dollars. Among other things, Rahim helped set scientifically informed 3, 5, and 10 year GHG targets for each Canadian owned property in the IC portfolio – a first for the company, and assisted with GHG reporting for GRESB.

Rahim has also interned internationally at Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services department and assisted with the initial start-up of ‘Flarian’, a company that produces a specific marketing medium aimed at reducing the use of paper.
