Tarun Koshy graduated from the University of Toronto with a Honours Bachelor of Science. He majored in Environmental Science and double minored in Earth Science and Physical Geography. He is currently in his second year of the MScSM program.

During his undergraduate degree, he had the opportunity to complete an internship with the Canada Green Building Council - Greater Toronto Chapter, assisting in organizing LEED Certification information sessions and taking responsibility for day-to-day administrative duties for the chapter. His passion for the environment led him to volunteer for non-profit organizations such as LEAF and Friends of the Rouge. He was also part of compiling a campus geology map as a part of a course project. He also volunteered with his high school’s environmental club as a mentor and helped lead the charge on projects such reduction of bottled water and energy conservation. He worked as an Electronic Waste Coordinator for the UTM Green Team. Outside of school. Tarun enjoys playing the guitar and assists in teaching his skills to beginners as a part of the UTM music club.

Upon completing of his MScSM degree, Tarun hopes to integrate his scientific knowledge with the management skills gained in the program to pursue a career in the environmental sector of companies.
