Bio
Mitan is currently completing his Master of Science in Sustainability Management at the University of Toronto. His academic projects focus on decarbonizing transportation, accelerating the net-zero energy transition, and managing innovation in clean technologies. The range of projects Mitan has undertaken in the MScSM program has prepared him to analyze the complex intersections of economic, social, and environmental factors in sustainable development. Through his academic journey and hands-on experience as a Research and Innovation Junior Analyst, Mitan has honed his expertise in data analytics, research methodologies, and the strategic management of sustainability initiatives.
During his internship at The Atmospheric Fund (TAF), Mitan supported the GTHA carbon emissions inventory, conducted research on carbon reduction solutions, and quantified the impacts of past projects. He also led research projects on the current state of key decarbonization technologies, delivering critical insights to guide investment and public policy strategies at TAF.
With a broad skill set that includes proficiency in data analysis software, behavioural modelling for the adoption of clean technologies, ESG reporting frameworks, and strategic management tools, Mitan brings a multidisciplinary approach to addressing sustainability challenges. Beyond his professional and academic pursuits, Mitan enjoys staying active in nature and binge-watching documentaries.
