Bio

Jeanny graduated from Ryerson University in 2014 with a Bachelor (Hons.) of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Following graduation, Jeanny enrolled in Herzing College’s Immigration Consultancy course where she later became a licensed Regulated Immigration Canadian Consultant.

Prior to embarking on her studies in the Master of Science in Sustainability Management, Jeanny worked at Deloitte Canada in their Toronto office for nearly 5 years where she recently held the position of Senior Analyst, Immigration Consultant in the Tax and Global Employer Services practice. She assisted in providing multi-national and start-up companies with a wide range of Canadian immigration and consultancy services. Jeanny prides herself on her and her team’s ability to find strategic solutions to the most challenging immigration situations both for corporate and individual clients. In addition to her expertise and innovative approach to immigration law, Jeanny frequently consulted on internal firm best practices to develop efficient process improvements and service deliveries in tandem with the Senior Managers and Partners.  During her time at Deloitte Canada, Jeanny discovered her innate abilities in consultancy, leadership, client service engagement, team management, problem solving, strategy development, and creative thinking.

As a native Torontoian and armed with the skills and knowledge she gathered while at Deloitte Canada, she was empowered and became increasingly interested in sustainability as it related to urban centers and the inevitable population growth in Toronto. Given her insights and understanding of Canada’s population growth through the lens of immigration, Jeanny decided to pivot and channel her focus on sustainability, where she will apply her abilities and consultancy expertise to aid in developing innovative solutions to sustainable population growth.

Some of Jeanny’s personal interests and leisure activities include experimenting with new cuisines, staying active, investing and financial literacy, listening to podcasts, travelling to South East Asia, urban and interior design, adopting a minimalist lifestyle, and electric cars. Jeanny is currently a volunteer with the Canadian Climate Challenge, a non-profit organization founded in Toronto, Ontario that leverages social media platforms to provide exposure and coverage on various climate actions and events taking place in local communities.
