Bio

Sarah recently graduated from the University of Toronto Mississauga with a Bachelor of Commerce with High Distinction. She specialized in Accounting along with a Major in Economics and a Minor in Environmental Science. Raised with a keen interest and respect for the environment through a lifetime of camping and gardening, Sarah is passionate about combining this with her enthusiasm for economics to make society sustainable.

Throughout the last six years, Sarah worked for a small accounting firm, Gill & Co. Chartered Accountants where she became proficient in auditing, tax, and communicating financial information. During the last two years of her undergraduate degree, Sarah volunteered with the Credit Valley Conservation as an Invasive Species Volunteer Steward at Rattray Marsh. In addition, from September 2017 through to her last semester of her undergraduate degree, Sarah completed over 150 hours as a volunteer note-taker with the University of Toronto Mississauga. Last but not least, Sarah completed a field study course during her undergraduate degree where she visited Haliburton Forest and completed a study with 4 group members comparing soil respiration in deciduous, coniferous, and clear-cut stands.

Sarah continues to feed her love for camping and gardening. Specifically, she is working her way through camping in each provincial park in Canada. In addition, she enjoys hiking and finding creative ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
