Bachelor of Commerce • Global Management, Double Minor in Finance and Urban Sustainability Studies • Ryerson University
Jonathon graduated from Ryerson University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in global management and double minoring in finance and urban sustainability studies. His academic and professional interest lay primarily within the for-profit sector, focusing specifically on responsible investing and carbon risk management. His other areas of interest include resource management & planning, sustainable sourcing & supply chain management, and energy development.
During his undergraduate studies, Jonathon worked as both a sustainability intern and as an assistant within Ryerson's Facilities Management & Development department. Being with the department for nearly three years, he was able to work alongside professionals on various projects and was able to apply lessons from the classroom into his work roles. He has also been active as a volunteer for a number of causes including social entrepreneurship, climate change, and LGBT advocacy.
Jonathon is originally from a small Francophone community in New Brunswick. Although he now considers Toronto his home, he's happy to return to the east coast during the holidays to visit friends and family. He is a lifelong fan of classical music, having previously played in a number of orchestral groups. On his spare time, Jonathon enjoys reading non-fiction, cycling, and going to the cinema.
