Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Department of Political Science, International Relations, National Taiwan University

Joni Su graduated with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree from National Taiwan University and Waseda University, Japan. In National Taiwan University, Joni majored in International Relations in the Political Science Department where she utilized a variety of social sciences to raise her global awareness. In Waseda University, she was immersed in Japanese culture and received her degree in Global Political Economy from the School of Political Science and Economics. The interdisciplinary curriculum cultivated her ability to consider diverse perspectives, to analyze real problems from global and multiple aspects, and to draw up and implement practical solutions.

After graduating, Joni worked at a non-profit tourism association and gained three years of experience in project management, including international conferences, cross-organizational cooperation, travel and culinary exhibitions, and tourism promotions, meetings and trade shows. Through these experiences, Joni not only developed leadership qualities, but also refined independent and team-oriented working abilities.

It is her tourism-related job that motivates Joni to study in sustainability management. While marketing plays an important role for sustaining a competitive advantage, she also sees the importance of protecting the beautiful natural world, which provides sustainable incentives for people to travel. As an MSc Sustainability Management graduate, Joni hopes to help public and private sectors to obtain a sustainable path to improve both environmental conservation and economic development.
