Jenny Phan

Bachelor of Science, Honors Specialization in Biology • Western University

Jenny graduated in 2017 from Western University with an Honors Bachelor of Science specializing in Biology. Jenny has always sought opportunities in school and through work to collaborate across faculties and functions to develop real solutions that consider all stakeholders. Jenny believes that  the marriage between the natural sciences and social sciences provides an interesting peek into the human side of conservation and is ecstatic to be apart of a unique program that embraces the intersectional complexities of sustainability.

Since graduation, Jenny has worked in Product Quality and Supply Chain Management at Sanofi Pasteur, as well as a local tech start-up in her hometown of Kitchener-Waterloo. While working at Sanofi Pasteur, Jenny started volunteering with Sanofi’s Go Green Team; researching, planning, and facilitating a native plant gardens project, which underlines Sanofi Pasteur’s commitment to promoting biodiversity and protecting the environment. Through this experience, she has become very appreciative towards the collaboration between passionate individuals and supportive corporations to make a difference in the Earth we all share together.

Outside of work and academics, you can find Jenny hiking around southern Ontario, trying her best at the indoor rock climbing gym, or touring local craft breweries.
