Vibhor graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science with High Distinction. He specialized in Environmental Science, with a Double Minor in Sustainability and Environmental Law & Policy. Academic coursework in sustainability and environmental project management, coupled with relevant experiences both on and off-campus, cemented his burgeoning interest in corporate sustainability.
Throughout the past few years, Vibhor has garnered relevant work experience in sustainability and climate change, most recently being a part of his campus’ Special Advisory Board on Sustainability where he is assisting in the development of a long-term sustainability strategic plan for the campus in collaboration with academic and administrative members. Vibhor was also a Lead Analyst at the G7 Research Group at the University of Toronto where he led a team of 6 Compliance Analysts to prepare and edit globally distributed, peer-reviewed Interim and Final Compliance Reports on G7 Countries’ commitments to climate change and the G7 Metz Charter on Biodiversity.
In the summer of 2019, Vibhor was a Summer Intern in the Climate Change & Sustainability Services at KPMG where he was a lead contributor to a KPMG report on the trends and state of global carbon pricing mechanisms for a bilateral development institution. Vibhor has continued to develop his skillset for a potential career in corporate sustainability by completing the GRI Standards Certified Training Course in September 2019.
Outside his professional interests, Vibhor participates in community development and started a social initiative titled the ‘Silver Surfer Program (SSP)’ to provide low-income senior citizens basic computer literacy skills. He was selected to attend the 2017 Summer Youth Assembly at the UN HQ based on his work with the SSP. Vibhor also enjoys playing and watch sports such as soccer, exploring different cultures around the world and reading personal development and self-improvement books.
