Emily graduated in the spring of 2016 from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, ON with a degree in Environmental Studies (Hons.). Throughout her undergraduate studies, she gained knowledge in both natural and social sciences; with a focus on sustainability and conservation management, environmental impact assessments, ecology and physical geography. After completing her undergraduate degree, she took some time to travel internationally, volunteer with Project AWARE (Dive Against Debris), and gain professional experience. Emily worked full-time with the York Region District School Board as a representative in the Payroll Department, and was also part of the YRDSB Eco-Team. Emily is passionate about incorporating sustainability into all aspects of her personal life, and aspires to work with an organization with like-minded values. In Emily’s free time, she enjoys front and back country camping, mountaineering, scuba diving and travelling.
