Bio
Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Journalism from Universidad del Norte in Colombia, where she graduated top of her class. She also earned a master´s in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University in the United States of America.
She has over 12 years of experience in strategic communications and reputation management. Andrea is an expert in the creation and leadership of integrated plans that support business strategy, and impact external and internal stakeholders through compelling storytelling and data-driven strategies. Additionally, has a proven track record in positioning organizations as thought leaders in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
She also has experience in crisis management, leadership communications, managing media relations, and developing social media and content creation strategies.
For more than ten years she has worked at Colombia's largest company, and one of the most important integrated energy conglomerates in Latin America, where she has held different positions. Most recently, she was the Head of Communications for Energy Transition & Sustainable Development.
Andrea is motivated to drive the energy transition and sustainable development in Colombia and the world. She wants to influence meaningful business decisions that deliver social and environmental change.
In her spare time, Andrea is curious about all things well-being. She loves strength training, dancing, and spending time with her family. What she enjoys the most is travelling to new places to learn about their history, food, and culture.
