Bio

In 2020, Taylor graduated with First Class Honours from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. During her undergrad, she fell in love with case studies and big-picture thinking. Taylor believes the fastest path to change is when you pair a great strategy with innovative technology and a clever marketing campaign.

During her degree, Taylor had the amazing opportunity to complete two exchange programs. Taylor spent a summer at the London School of Economics in an intensive course on consumer behaviour, finishing top of her class. Taylor also spent a semester at HEC Paris where she learned about new technologies like blockchain and practiced her French - which according to the locals, needs some work!

In her fourth year, Taylor took a strategy course on sustainable business. This was easily the most impactful course throughout her entire education. Taylor had always deeply cared about our planet but this course further revealed the urgency of the global climate crisis. Suddenly, she wanted to change the world!

After graduating, Taylor did a summer internship with a global infrastructure firm. In this role, she helped draft their first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report and assisted in the development of the firm’s sustainability strategy.

In the fall, Taylor joined a social enterprise called “How to Change the World”, a fitting company given her aspirations! As their strategy and marketing associate, Taylor redesigned their website, managed social media campaigns, and honed the start-up’s corporate branding.

Prior to her experience in sustainability, Taylor worked as a writer and editor for a large, student-run print and online publication. In 2018, Taylor worked at a non-profit where she crafted their social media strategy and revitalized their website. In 2019, she started her own electric scooter tourism business in Vancouver, British Columbia. She conceptualized and led 2-hour guided tours which consistently received 5-star reviews on Airbnb.

During the pandemic, Taylor moved back home to Vancouver with her family and two dogs. She used this time to pursue a graduate certificate in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation at the Harvard Extension School. She took courses on ESG reporting, Circular Economies and Sustainable Fashion.

Outside of her studies, she spent the majority of her free time reading non-fiction books, learning how to rollerskate and going for hikes with her two (adorable) dogs.
