Bio

Daniel graduated from the Ivey Business School at Western University in 2018 with an Honours Business Administration degree. While keen to pursue a career in business, Daniel has always been passionate about sustainability. In addition to the standard business curriculum of Finance, Operations, Strategy, Negotiations and Communications, this interest led him to explore courses such as Environmental Philosophy, Anthropology of Food Activism, Social Enterprise, and Business Strategy & Sustainability. During his undergraduate degree, Daniel emerged as a student leader through his roles as co-president of the Ivey Sustainability Club, and co-lead of the “Ivey Cup” – a yearlong initiative and competition for all 600+ third-year Ivey students.

After graduation, Daniel has used his professional experience to consistently grow and improve, leading to strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills combined with an analytical and curious mindset. He spent 2.5 years as a strategy consultant at Deloitte Canada, working with clients across a variety of industries, including financial services, power and utilities, manufacturing, and healthcare. Daniel consistently demonstrated an ability to perform successfully and deliver high-quality work in a range of areas, including organizational maturity assessments, business case analysis, technology deployments, program design and implementation, and business process mapping. In addition to ongoing client work, Daniel was a key member of the firm’s pro-bono consulting program – “Community Advisory Projects”, while also serving as a peer facilitator for “Deloitte University” – a weeklong training initiative for new hires. More recently, Daniel joined DealMaker - a high-growth FinTech startup, as a Senior Account Manager. In this role, Daniel worked directly with senior stakeholders from a wide range of capital-raising companies to launch their digitally powered capital raises and manage these clients over course of the raise. He also spearheaded key internal projects to enable scalability, including rolling out project management boards, standardized project plan templates, and case studies. Daniel also has previous work experience at the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario, and General Dynamics Corp. While Daniel has gained valuable skills and experience through his experience in consulting and finance, he hopes to use his business background in addressing increasingly critical sustainability challenges.

In his spare time, Daniel enjoys spending time outdoors with friends, playing basketball, biking, cooking, reading, and following professional sports.
