Kelsey is a Distinction Graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Business & Sustainability. Throughout coursework, Kelsey gained knowledge in both business management and environmental science. This unique concentration has provided Kelsey with a dynamic understanding of how organizational processes affect our surrounding environment and the need for innovative changes in the corporate world.

Kelsey’s internship with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) has provided her with hands-on corporate sustainability experience relating to sustainability reporting, environmental benchmarking, sustainability strategy development and implementation, and employee engagement. This experience has also led Kelsey to pursue her major research study titled The State of Sustainability within the Canadian Travel and Tourism Industry where she will be distributing a survey to industry personnel to determine which sustainability actions the industry is currently practicing and the extent to which they are integrated within organizational strategy. The aim of the study is to provide recommendations for the travel and tourism industry to improve their sustainability performance.

Through completion of the Master of Science in Sustainability Management program, Kelsey is confident that she will gain the necessary expertise to become a well-rounded thought-leader to advance sustainable strategies.
