Connect & Refresh: Active Wellbeing Events

Join us for a series of active wellbeing events for UTM staff, faculty and librarians, in partnership with the Wellbeing & Belonging Committee.

All of the following sessions are beginner-friendly and inclusive to all skill and fitness levels. Although no RAWC Membership is required, we ask all participants to register in advance.

Indoor Track Membership

January 5 - April 30, 2025 
Access Hours:

  • Weekdays: 7 - 8:30 AM & 11:30 AM - 2 PM
  • Weekends: 10 AM - 2 PM

Blackout dates: January 17, January 30.

Track Level

Looking for an easy way to stay active this winter? The Indoor Track Membership offers UTM staff, faculty, and librarians low-barrier, daily access to the RAWC track during select hours in the winter months.
 

Note: During April Exam Period, access during mid-day will be from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm as the Indoor Track is closed while students write exams in Gym A/B. 

Membership: The cost of membership is $40 for the full 4 months (Jan 5 - Apr 30, 2026). You will receive access to the Indoor Walking Track and change rooms. Check in at the RAWC Welcome Desk to enjoy your walk, jog, or run - whatever works best for you! 

This pilot program is part of UTM Moves Month, launching January 2026, and encourages our campus community to prioritize fitness and wellness in the new year.

Learn to Play Pickleball & Wear Your Pride

Celebrate Pride Month with fun, movement, and community! Join us on the UTM Tennis Courts to try pickleball — a fast-growing sport that’s easy to learn and perfect for all fitness levels. Whether you’re new to the game or up for some friendly competition, sport instructors will be on hand to guide you through the rules, techniques, and strategies. 

In addition, come dressed in your favourite colourful outfit for Wear Your Pride and help light up our campus with the vibrant diversity that makes UTM so special. Paddles provided. Prizes will be available!

Group Fitness Class: Yogilates

Yogilates blends the movements and postures of yoga with the core-focused exercises of Pilates, incorporating strength, flexibility, and relaxation techniques into one 45-minute class. All fitness levels are welcome.
