Aquatic Classes

Women's Only: H2O Boot Camp

45-minute fun and challenging low intensity fitness class designed for the pool using the resistance of the water.  Get your strength and interval training with our aqua belts, weight and noodles. Challenge yourself and get ready for a top to bottom workout!! All fitness levels welcome.

H2O Paddleboard Core

Is your Core up to the challenge of UTM's Paddleboards? Engage your core and stabilizers as you move through a total body workout challenging you to stay on top of your paddleboard!  Simple movements become taxing with the added instability of the paddleboard. Light a fire in your core with this new class that is sure to leave you feeling strong,  mindful and more aware of your body.

H2O Body Blast

Get acclimatized to the water!  This total body workout will guide you through cardio and strength and conditioning exercises. Use a variety of equipment to increase resistance in the water allowing you to cater the exercises to match your personal fitness level. Great beats will keep you motivated, and the UTM pool is the perfect temperature to keep you cool while pushing yourself to the limits. Leave your workout feeling refreshed.

H2O Kickboxing

Join us for a splash with this kickboxing-inspired fitness session including high-energy kicks, punches and more. This fun, shallow water workout recreates the traditional dry-land kickboxing experience in the pool.

Cardio Classes

Beginner Boxing

Learn how to pack a punch in this technical workshop designed to teach beginners the basics of boxing. This session provides energizing drills incorporating the jab, cross, hook, and much more. Join this fun session to stay in shape and build your confidence! This is a partial contact class. Gloves and pads will be provided. Non-slip shoes and hand wraps are highly recommended.

 

Boxfit

Learn the foundational movements of kickboxing in this fun and energizing class!. This class combines kickboxing and bodyweight exercises to improve endurance, strength and conditioning. Target your arms and core in this full body workout.

Cardio Dance

Cardio Dance is a high energy and fun fitness/dance class that blends exciting club music and world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography. Come and join the fun and find your rhythmic groove! No dance experience required. All levels welcome.

Cardio Dance HIIT

Retro Aerobics is back! Join us for our hardcore, fun fitness class that incorporates aerobic interval training with music you love and easy to follow fitness choreography.

Cycle Core

This class offers a fusion experience of traditional high intensity indoor cycling with implementation of core exercises to fire up your whole body! Get registered today to improve your cardiovascular and core endurance, and strength

Rowfit

Rowing is a total body workout great for developing your cardiovascular fitness and muscular system at the same time.  Class takes place on our indoor rowing machines.

Indoor Cycling

Increase your cardio and strength with our indoor cycling class. Get your heart pumping with a series of sprints, hills, and drills to build endurance, burn calories and relieve stress. This multi-level class will motivate you through music and moves that allow you to set the intensity of your workout and cruise at your own pace.

Zumba

A high energy and fun fitness/dance class that blends exciting club music and world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography. Come and join the fun and find your rhythmic groove! No dance experience required. All levels welcome.

Intermediate Boxing

Build upon the foundational movemetns of the jab, cross, hook and uppercut, learned in our Beginner Boxing class in this fun and energizing workout! This class introduces more complex sequences, patterns and drill to build rhythm and stamina. Target your arms and core in this full body workout.

*Hand wraps, gloves and non-slip shoes are recommended.

Mindfulness Classes

Meditation & Movement

Join us for a guided meditation paired with a physical practice to help us move our bodies into wellness including stretching, yoga, Pilates, and walking.

Mindfulness is about being present and in the moment. No prior experience with mindfulness or meditation is required -- everyone is welcome, students, staff, and faculty! Offered on a weekly basis from 12:10-12:40pm at the Dance Studio.

Pilates

Achieve a balanced and toned body with the ultimate core fitness workout!  Incorporate Pilate’s postures with traditional core exercises to help improve posture, strength, and range of motion.  Rejuvenate your workout with a focus on your breathing and find those deep core muscles in the abdomen and that surround the spine.  All fitness levels welcome.

Cycle-Yoga Fusion

Looking to improve your cardiovascular fitness, flexibility and mental focus?  Cycle-Yoga is a fusion class that will have you working hard in the saddle then flowing through yoga stretches and sun salutations.  Finish with a cool down, guided relaxation, and some quiet time. 

(20 min. cycling and 25 min. yoga)

Flow Yoga

Energize your day with our Flow Yoga class. Move seamlessly through poses synchronizing the breath to movement while elevating your heart rate for this total body mindful workout.

Hatha Yoga

This gentle class begins with a guided meditation, introduces yoga postures to stretch and strengthen the body, and teaches relaxation practices to reduce stress and calm the mind. Taught in a supportive environment, this 45-minute class is ideal for beginners, but all levels are welcome. Yoga mats are provided.

Roll & Recover

Join us for this RAWC Roll & Recover session using the foam roller and a series of stretches to alleviate muscle tightness and promote recovery and injury prevention. Learn about trigger points and how to reduce muscle soreness while increasing mobility. This session can be enjoyed pre or post workout. Equipment provided. All fitness levels welcome.

Women's Only Roll & Recover

Join us for this RAWC Roll & Recover session using the foam roller and a series of stretches to alleviate muscle tightness and promote recovery and injury prevention.  

Learn about trigger points and how to reduce muscle soreness while increasing mobility. This session can be enjoyed pre or post workout.

Equipment provided.  All fitness levels welcome.

Yogilates

Yogilates blends the movements and postures of yoga with the core-focused exercises of Pilates, incorporating strength, flexibility, and relaxation techniques into one 45-minute class. All fitness levels welcome.

Yin Yoga

Join this traditional Yin Yoga class that focuses on postures to remove blockages and stimulate the connective tissues in the body focusing on the hips, pelvis and spine.   Although Yin postures can appear simple and are accessible to all fitness levels, they are typically held for longer periods of time from 5-20 minutes and can challenge areas of tension in the body.  Leave feeling refreshed and Zen!

Resistance Training Classes

Barbell 101 

Barbells are one of the most essential pieces of equipment in the gym. They can help you lose weight, reduce body fat, increase strength, and build muscle. Knowing how intimidating they can be, our trainers will provide you with a supportive space to get comfortable using barbells and teach you the proper form for the squat, deadlift, bench press and row. This is a technique-oriented class.

Boot Camp

A high-intensity class that incorporates plyometrics, strength and interval training. Build your cardiovascular and muscular endurance using various types of equipment and bodyweight movements. Challenge yourself and get ready for a top to bottom workout. 

Glutes, Core & More

 A Pilates-inspired fitness class that offers the benefits of Pilates training with an emphasis on the powerhouse muscles including the glutes and hips, abdominals, low back muscles and deep pelvic floor muscles.  Join us and get the strength back in your glutes and core!

Athletic Strength & Development

This program is designed to educate and support those seeking to enhance athletic performance. Using a variety of tools and methods for improving movement quality, health, and physical performance (strength, speed & power), this program emphasizes physical preparation and injury prevention to meet the demands of recreational and competitive sport. Athletic Strength & Development program is evidence-based programming focused on long term progressive-overload with consideration of the specific demands of sport.

Women's Only Classes

Women on Weights! (WOW) 

A class that caters to women's needs and wants! Providing a safe space to get energized while building up strength and muscle. Push yourself and raise your limits with our women focused circuit training using a mix of cardio and weights. An inclusive, fun, and supportive environment that will teach you effective exercises and challenge you to reach your goals.

Women’s Only Barbell 101

Barbells are one of the most essential pieces of equipment in the gym. They can help you lose weight, reduce body fat, increase strength, and build muscle. Women's Only Cardio HIIT

A 45-minute-high intensity interval training class for all fitness levels. Use a variety of cardiovascular and resistance training equipment such as Ski Ergs, Rowers, Curve Treadmills, weights and more to build cardiovascular and muscular endurance.

Women's Only TRX Fusion

This class will give you the opportunity to get fit using unique equipment such as TRX suspension systems, Equalizer bars, kettle bells and more. You’ll get a good sweat while learning new skills, building strength, and endurance. All fitness levels welcome.

Women's Only Roll & Recover

Join us for this RAWC Roll & Recover session using the foam roller and a series of stretches to alleviate muscle tightness and promote recovery and injury prevention.
