Camp U of T Mississauga

A Message from Camp U of T Mississauga

Dear Camp U of T Mississauga Families,
The health, safety and well-being of our camp families and community members is very important to us.  To that end the University has been assessing our summer programming in light of the changing landscape due to COVID-19.  As part of its actions to promote social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Government of Ontario has extended emergency measures to May 12, 2020. These measures include the closure of non-essential workplaces, restrictions on gatherings of more than five people, and the closure of outdoor recreational amenities, such as sports fields and playgrounds.
In response, and until the emergency orders are lifted, all University buildings will remain closed to the general public and playing fields are also closed. The University also recommended the postponement or cancellation of all events taking place up to June 30, 2020 and recommended that events scheduled for July and August be considered for transition to virtual meetings where possible.
We know that many families depend on U of T summer programming as they make educational and child care plans for the coming months.

The difficult decision has been made to cancel Camp U of T Mississauga for Summer 2020.  Full refunds will be issued for all camp registrations, and all administrative fees will be waived.  We thank you in advance as we work to process a high volume of refunds.  Please check your email for refund instructions.

We recognize the impacts that this cancellation will have on families, and we hope that 2021 will bring a return to our full summer camp programming.
