    • Bus returns to UTM: approximately 4 pm

  • Participant fee: Early Bird - $25 , Regular - $45

 

Overview:

Get ready to climb, swing, and zip your way through the trees with UTM Ascends at Heart Lake Conservation Park! This outdoor adventure features a 3-hour guided aerial game trek complete with zip lines, rope bridges, climbing challenges, and forest canopy views.

 

What’s included:

  • Bus transportation from UTM, departing in the morning and returning late afternoon
  • 3-hour Treetop Trekking adventure (all gear and instructions provided)
  • Access to a fun, supportive environment to challenge yourself physically and mentally

 

Rules & Eligibility:

  • This activity is open to all UTM students – regardless of fitness or experience level.
  • Height minimum: 60” Tall
  • Weight maximum: 250 lbs
  • Participants must wear closed-toe shoes, such as running shoes.
  • Participants must be able to climb independently.
  • All participants must complete and submit the required waivers — including the RAWC waiver, the vendor’s waiver, and the photo/video consent form — prior to the event.

 

How to Prepare:

  • Register early for the event – note, spots are extremely limited.
  • Wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. The event will run rain or shine — except during electrical storms.
  • Bring your own lunch, snacks, and a reusable water bottle.
  • Bring a backpack or small bag for personal items.
  • Apply sunscreen and/or bug spray if needed for outdoor activities.
  • Check the weather forecast and any event updates (@utm_athletics on Instagram).
  • Arrive at the RAWC Lobby at least 15 minutes early to ensure an on-time bus departure. Upon arrival, please check in with a UTM Moves Crew Member wearing an orange uniform.
  • Complete and submit the required waivers — including the RAWC waiver, the vendor’s waiver, and the photo/video consent form — prior to the event.

 

Event Weather Policy:

This event includes an outdoor component, which may be affected by weather conditions. In the event of rain, snow, or other inclement weather that could impact safety or comfort, the event may be modified, delayed, or cancelled. Any weather-related updates will be shared by email and posted on Instagram (@utm_athletics) at least one hour before the scheduled start time. We encourage participants to check for updates before arriving and to dress appropriately for the weather.

 

Waitlist Policy:

This event has limited capacity, and therefore we recommend early registration to secure your spot. If the event is full, you can join the waitlist through the registration form. Should a spot become available, waitlisted participants will be contacted in the order they signed up. Please keep an eye on your email and respond promptly to secure your spot.

 

Cancellation Policy:

If an event is cancelled by the organizer(s) due to extenuating circumstances (e.g., severe weather, illness, minimum registration not being met), we will attempt to reschedule or will contact registrants to arrange a full refund.
