Facilitated Drop-in Sports

Facilitated Drop-Ins allows a monitored environment for recreational sports, ensuring proper etiquette and shared space among all participants.

The goal of Facilitated Drop-in is to:

  • Foster a safe, welcoming, and community focused space
  • Support beginner and intermediate players
  • Promote respectful behavior and sports etiquette
  • Encourage structured but flexible recreational play

Facilitators on site are able to provide support, help coordinate rotations, and answer questions to make the experience accessible for everyone.

Piloting Sports

For Fall 2025, facilitated drop-in sports will be offered for the following:

  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Badminton
     

Key Features:

  • Timed games:
    • Sessions run in set intervals (e.g. 7-15 minutes) to ensure everyone gets a turn
  • Rotation System:
    • Facilitators help manage teams and subs fairly
  • Inclusivity:
    • All skill levels are welcome
  • On site Support
    • Facilitators are able to help with rules, guidance and resolving conflicts

Location and Schedule

Facilitated Drop-in takes place at designated times in Gym A, B, or C. Full schedules will be posted online and updated weekly.

No pre-registration is required. Just scan your T-Card at the welcome desk when you arrive

Facilitated drop ins include supervision, support, and game structure. Traditional drop-ins are unguided and self regulated.

Yes! Equipment is available for borrowing, but you’re welcome to bring your own as well.
