Rules & Eligibility:

  • This activity is open to all UTM students, staff, faculty, and librarians – regardless of fitness or experience level.
  • All participants must complete and submit the required waivers — including the RAWC waiver, the vendor’s waiver, and the photo/video consent form — prior to the event.

How to Prepare:

  • Register early for the event – note, spots are extremely limited.
  • Please carefully review the Safety & Risk Awareness webpage before your visit.
  • Dress in layers. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer, add an insulating mid-layer (like fleece), and finish with a waterproof/windproof outer shell.
  • Wear warm, non-cotton socks, and bring an extra 1-2 pairs should you need them.
  • Choose proper winter accessories: Waterproof gloves, a warm hat or helmet liner, and a neck gaiter or buff help retain heat and protect from wind.
  • Avoid loose jewelry or dangling clothing attachments. These can get caught on equipment or lift chairs.
  • Bring protective eyewear. Ski goggles or UV-protective sunglasses improve visibility and protect against snow glare.
  • Bring your own lunch, snacks, and a reusable water bottle.
  • Bring a small bag for personal items.
  • Check the weather forecast and any event updates (@utm_athletics on Instagram).
  • Arrive at the RAWC Lobby at least 15 minutes early to ensure an on-time bus departure. Upon arrival, please check in with a UTM Moves Crew Member wearing an orange uniform.
  • Complete and submit the required waivers — including the RAWC waiver, the vendor’s waiver, and the photo/video consent form — prior to the event.
