The Department of Recreation, Athletics and Wellness is committed to providing sports opportunities for UTM students that positively impact their overall student experience. Our UTM Learn to Play program will teach the basic fundamentals and rules of the sport to gain experience and understanding of each sport. We aim to have participants create friendships and bonds with others while learning and getting involved at their own pace.
Learn to Play welcomes all students with little to no experience at a particular sport, to learn in a group-based setting with their peers.

Previous participants of the Learn to Play Program are encouraged to register for a sport they haven't participated in and/or sign up for further sports programs such as Drop-in and UTM Intramural leagues & tournaments.
Learn to Play: Try It Series
Always wanted to try a specific sport? Have some free time before or after your class this semester? Join the Learn to Play – Try It Series! This program is designed to teach the basic fundamentals through fun activities and games all in one day. Join us for a series of 1-day events this semester, get moving, bring a friend or two and meet new people on campus.
