UTM is located in the City of Mississauga, one of the safest cities in North America. While our campus and city are generally safe, it is always important to know about the resources available on and off-campus to students, all members of the UTM community and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

On-Campus Resources 

UTM Campus Safety

The University of Toronto Campus Safety is dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, faculty and visitors. Campus Safety Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The UTM Campus Safety office is located on the third floor in the Davis Building, Room #3116.

Sexual Violence Prevention & Support Centre

The Sexual Violence Prevention and Support Centre is here to help and support students, staff and faculty at the University of Toronto who have been affected by sexual violence or sexual harassment.

Health & Counselling Centre (HCC)

The Health & Counselling Centre is staffed by a team of knowledgeable, dedicated and student-friendly health professionals that provide health care to the UTM student body. Students can make appointments with physicians or nurses to discuss a wider range of health concerns. Any UofT student can access their services, which include: medical care, counselling & psychiatric care and health education & promotion. 

Accessibility Services

Accessibility Services provides services and academic accommodations to students who have a documented learning, physical, sensory, mental health disability or medical condition. A disability can be temporary or permanent

Equity & Diversity Office (EDO)

The Equity and Diversity Office promotes an equitable and inclusive campus community, free from discrimination or harassment based on age, ancestry, citizenship, colour, creed, disability, ethnic origin, family status, gender expression, gender identity, marital status, place of origin, race, record of offences, sex, and/or sexual orientation.

Off-Campus Resources

Peel Regional Police

Peel Regional Police serves as the police service for the Region of Peel which consists of the municipalities of Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga. They are the third largest police service in Ontario and fourth largest municipal police service in Canada.

Mississauga Fire Department 

The Mississauga Fire Department is the City’s fire emergency response organization. The aim to protect life, property and the environment in Mississauga from all perils, through education, prevention, investigation, training, rescue, fire suppression, dangerous goods containment and life support services.
