Eligibility

To be eligible to go on exchange, you must have completed 4.0 credits by the time you depart,  have a minimum CGPA of 2.25 and be in good academic standing. Please note some of our destinations require a higher GPA and or language proficiency. For more info about eligibility requirements for your desired destination, please click herePlease note if you are a first-year student who has completed less than 4.0 credits and are currently enrolled in Y-credit courses, you will need to fill out an interim grade report, available here - the completed paper copy can be delivered to the front desk of the IEC at UTM (DV2071).

Where to go?

You can choose from over 120 highly-ranked partner institutions in 40 countries around the world. You can choose your school based on destination or program options. Click here to view our list of partner schools and their requirements. Make sure you choose 'Mississauga' as your campus for the most accurate results.

How much does it cost?

While on exchange you will continue to pay your regular UTM tuition fees. Your total expenses will vary by destination. The good news is that there is a variety of generous funding available to help offset the costs of an exchange. Click here to learn about funding options and the costs associated with an exchange.

Will I earn credits towards my degree?

Yes. If your exchange is planned properly you will be earning credits towards your degree. It is essential that you speak to your department to get pre-approval and determine the UTM equivalencies before you go overseas.
