UTMSU Recognition

The University of Toronto Mississauga Students' Union (UTMSU) recognition is provided by the University of Toronto Mississauga Students’ Union. Recognition by the Students' Union provides student organizations with access to UTMSU benefits, outlined below.

Note: All UTMSU recognized student organizations are required to abide by UTMSU rules and guidelines, per UTMSU Policy.

Student groups may apply for one or all of the following, each providing separate benefits - SOP Recognition, UTMSU Recognition, CCR Recognition

UTMSU Training

In order to attend UTMSU trainings, you must be an executive of an UTMSU-recognized student organization.

The Campus Groups Coordinator will organize at least three Training Sessions out of the five to six offered throughout the year. It is mandatory for at least two executives, preferable the President and VP Finance or equivalent, from each group to attend.

Reprimand for non-attendance is the same as for any club or society information meeting. Meetings summoned by the President, according to Section 14(g) of the UTMSU Constitution, the President may call a mandatory meeting with any and all societies and/or clubs on campus if they ever deem necessary.
