Access DaysHelp plan and deliver a day that offers tailored hands-on workshops about post-secondary education, to get students thinking about their future!
Alternative Reading WeekJoin this three-day initiative to work with community organizations to tackle a challenge they are facing and learn more about local issues and initiatives.
Bigs on Campus Youth Mentorship ProgramSupport youth to develop social, academic, and leadership skills, in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel and Halton Regions. 
Black Youth Mentorship ProgramSupport Black youth to improve their academic performance, strengthen their awareness of resources, and foster a sense of belonging in a post-secondary environment. 
Community Leadership Development ProgramBecome a community leader, and support one of three areas or ‘streams’ at the CSE: STEAM, Access and Inclusion or Alternative Reading Week, during events and programming. 
Social Innovation ProjectWork with a small team of fellow volunteers to complete a project for a local community organization guided by the support of a UTM Mentor. Projects & organizations cover a variety of topics and areas of interest.
STEAM DaysSupport a series of engaging events by facilitating hands-on activities, mentoring youth in grades 5 to 12, and helping students explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics in an interactive learning environment.
STEAM Mentorship AcademyDevelop and deliver innovative programming for high school students by leading weekly workshops that foster mentorship, leadership, and experiential learning in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics with the goal of supporting their own community event.

The application process and timeline vary by program. Please visit the individual pages found in the "What volunteer opportunities are available at the CSE" linked above. Each page will outline how to apply, program dates/times, volunteer requirements, and staff contact information to send additional questions.

Students do not require additional training or experiences before volunteering with the CSE but will complete role-specific training before their volunteer experience.

Yes! All CSE volunteer experiences are CCR recognized! CSE staff members overseeing the volunteer experience will communicate CCR requirements so that all volunteers know what to do to receive a CCR notation.
