Leadership Bootcamp

A group of people huddled around a table working and smiling.

This program takes place yearly in the summer. Interested in taking part? Let us know!

How can you be a more successful leader? Research shows that people who are gritty and resilient are more successful in life. During Leadership Bootcamp, you will learn to build resiliency, enhance your ability to overcome difficulties, explore ethics as it pertains to leadership as well as discover how to incorporate mindfulness into your leadership.

The Centre for Student Engagement is excited to bring UTM this opportunity based on the book Grit by Angela Duckworth. Whether it's a bad mark or a failed plan, having grit is what makes the difference between someone who gives up and someone who gets back up and moves forward with passion.

Leadership Bootcamp will help you:

  • Build resilience to better face the year with even more perseverance
  • Build your grit and enhance your ability to overcome difficulties
  • Develop mental toughness
  • Incorporate mindfulness
  • Practice ethics in your leadership roles
  • Make new friends through a collaborative in-person space
