We are excited to have you join us!
Welcome! As you transition into this new phase of your life, we would like to extend an invitation for you to join us at our Black Excellence Orientation at UTM, happening on September 5, 2023. This orientation is designed to welcome Black-identified students to our beautiful campus, introduce Black-specific tools, tips, and resources to support the transition to university life, as well as spotlight upper-year students, alumni, staff, and faculty.

2023 Agenda & Itinerary
September 5, 2023
1:00PM - 4:00PM - Black Excellence Orientation @ the September Soar Resource & Involvement Fair
BEO will be hosting a resource hunt at the September Soar Resource & Involvement Fair! This hunt will kick off at 2pm so don't miss the chance to win exciting prizes at the fair. Visit our BEO table for more fun surprises! We've got puff-puff, Jamaican patties, and freezies to cool off in the sunny weather. The Resource & Involvement Fair will be held outside the Communication, Culture, Information & Technology (CCIT) building.
4:00PM - 8:00M - Bonnet & Durag Bash
After that, we will kickstarting our Bonnet & Durag Bash on the terrace located on the Maanjiwe nendamowinan (MN) building's 4th floor! Be prepared for some healthy competition and get ready to make new friends through teamwork! We've got prizes, great people, and don't forget about our African, Caribbean, and Soul cuisine!
