Get Your Student Activities Recognized

As a faculty or staff member at U of T, you have the opportunity to get the not-for-credit opportunities you offer CCR-recognized! These opportunities include, but are not limited to volunteer roles, committee membership, conference organizers/attendees, and skill-building workshops.

For an opportunity to be eligible for CCR recognition, it must offer students the following:

  • Skill Development - see our CCR Skills Framework for the list of skills recognized on the CCR
  • Reflection - participants of the program/event/opportunity need to reflect on the experience and its impact on their growth and development. This can be done in a myriad of ways (ex. regularly throughout the experience, a final reflection meeting, an exit interview, an online survey).
  • Training - the participant of a program/opportunity receives training that sets them up for success in the role. This is not always a requirement, as it depends on the opportunity.

To get a Staff/Faculty opportunity CCR-recognized, you need to submit the Co-Curricular Record - Activity Application for Staff/Faculty (2025/2026). The CCR Team will review the application and get back to you either with edits/suggestions or an approval. Once the application is approved, the Folio page link will be sent to you. From then on, you are free to use CCR signs, logos, and labels in your marketing for this opportunity.
If you would like to book a meeting to discuss your opportunity prior to submitting a CCR application, please email the CCR team at ccr.utm@utoronto.ca.

To update the content in the Folio page of an already CCR-recognized activity, contact the CCR Team for further information and guidance.

Interim Validation Process

Once an activity has been approved and added to the CCR database, student participation can be validated. Please directly access the Co-Curricular Record — Validation Submission (2025-2026) to submit any validations. Alternatively, you can log into your staff account on Folio, click the “CCR Validation Submission” icon (represented by a checkmark badge icon). Upon submission, validations will be reviewed by the CCR Office, and students’ records will be updated accordingly.
