Alumni Association Scholarship

  • Awarded to a full-time or part-time U of T Mississauga student in Year 4
  • Has demonstrated a commitment to the campus through academic and/or social contributions to enhance the UTM student experience.
  • Academic merit is also considered

Chartered Accountants Scholarship

  • Full-time U of T Mississauga students enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce Program in year 3 or 4
  • Have demonstrated distinctive abilities through extracurricular activities or employment
  • Have high academic standing
  • Consideration will be given to students involved in the Professional Skills Development Program.

Environment Canada Scholarship for Academic Excellence

  • Students in Year 3 of a Specialist or Major Environment Program
  • Have demonstrated academic achievement in environment related courses and exceptional leadership and commitment on behalf of the environment either on campus or in the community

Harold Sonny Ladoo Book Prize for Creative Writing

  • Awarded to a full-time or part-time U of T Mississauga student with outstanding creative writing
  • Submissions are reviewed by a committee in the Department of English & Drama and the winning submission(s) are housed in the U of T Mississauga Library.
  • Open to students in any year of study

JoAnna Dutka Award

  • Awarded to full-time undergraduate U of T Mississauga students in their graduating year who intend to pursue graduate studies in a Master of Arts Program in English.
  • Preference will be given to students who have applied to the University of Toronto Master of Arts Program in English.
  • Academic merit and financial need are also considered.

November 1, 2020

Mississauga Board of Trade Award in Commerce and Management

  • Awarded to full-time U of T Mississauga students upon completion of Year 1
  • Must be enrolled in either a Management or Commerce Program
  • Have extensive involvement in community-based volunteer activities.
  • Academic merit and financial need are also considered. Preference given to students who are Mississauga residents.

Paul W. Fox Scholarship

  • Awarded to the best all-round full-time U of T Mississauga student who has extensive participation in student activities on or off-campus and community service.
  • Must have completed Year 3
  • Academic merit is also considered.

Peter Baxter Leadership Award

  • Awarded to a full-time U of T Mississauga student in any year of study
  • Through their involvement in school activities has exemplified outstanding leadership characteristics.
  • The award is open to all UTM students, however preference will be given to those students whose involvement has been with UTM’s Department of Recreation, Athletics & Wellness.

  • Full-time UTM student enrolled in a Science program in Year 2 or 3
  • Has volunteer community service

Robert Rawlings Scholarship

  • Full-time UTM students participating in a Study Abroad program, Exchange Program or an independently arranged Research Opportunity with an institution approved and recognized by UTM
  • The course or research will be accredited to the student's UTM degree

Rotary Club of Mississauga West - "Service Above Self"

  • Awarded to full-time U of T Mississauga students registered in Year 2 or higher
  • Have extensive involvement in community-based volunteer activities in the Mississauga community.
  • Academic merit and financial need is also considered.

Snil "Sunny" Sahanan Memorial Scholarship

  • Full-time UTM student enrolled in an Anthropology Specialist, Major or Minor
  • Demonstrated record of social activism
  • Write an essay on the importance of non-violence in international relations and world peace
  • Demonstrate financial need

Sobanski-Armstrong Scholarship

  • Full-time UTM student who is applying to medical school in Canada.
  • Preference is given to those applying to the undergraduate Medical Education Program at U of T, students entering a graduate program in a health science, or science discipline with a health application at U of T

United Way of Peel Region Award

  • Full-time UTM student with extensive involvement in community-based volunteer activities and is a resident of Peel Region (Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, etc)

UTM Residence Community In-Course Scholarships

  • Full-time UTM student living on-campus with extensive involvement in the community and Student Residence activities
  • Attained a minimum CGPA of 2.0

UTM Student Recognition Award of Achievement

  • Full-time student in Year 2 or higher at UTM
  • Obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0
  • Involved in extra-curricular activities related to U of T Mississauga
  • This award is chosen by the UTM Student Recognition Award of Achievement Committee, comprised of students serving on the UTMSU

Some scholarships recognize academic excellence and students are nominated by an academic department. Other scholarships are determined by extracurricular and/or volunteer activities, along with academic standing and/or financial need.
