In most cases, petitions are resolved within six (6) weeks, but can vary depending on the complexity of your individual circumstances, and timeliness of your submission.
Petitions are reviewed only when they are submitted in full. There may be delays if:
- your supporting documents are submitted late
- we require time required to consult with academic departments
- your supporting documentation is insufficient
- we are unable to reach you for clarification, or require additional information

Students who do not agree with the petition and have strong grounds to request an exemption may consider submitting an appeal. Appeals will require presentation of new or additional information to help strengthen your case.
