We are proud to offer scholarships and awards to both celebrate your achievements, contributions to your community, and support your education. While some awards are merit based, others may also consider financial need.

Alumni Association Scholarship

  • Awarded to a full-time or part-time U of T Mississauga student in Year 4
  • Has demonstrated a commitment to the campus through academic and/or social contributions to enhance the UTM student experience.
  • Academic merit is also considered

Chartered Accountants Scholarship

  • Full-time U of T Mississauga students enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce Program in Year 3 or 4
  • Have demonstrated distinctive abilities through extracurricular activities or employment
  • Have high academic standing
  • Consideration will be given to students involved in the Professional Skills Development Program

Environment Canada Scholarship for Academic Excellence

  • Students in Year 3 of a Specialist or Major Environment Program
  • Have demonstrated academic achievement in environment-related courses
  • Campus or community involvement demonstrating leadership in environment-related activities

Harold Sonny Ladoo Book Prize for Creative Writing

  • Awarded to a full-time or part-time U of T Mississauga student with outstanding creative writing
  • Submissions are reviewed by a committee in the Department of English & Drama and the winning submission(s) are housed in the U of T Mississauga Library.
  • Open to students in any year of study

JoAnna Dutka Award

  • Awarded to full-time undergraduate U of T Mississauga students in their graduating year who intend to pursue graduate studies in a Master of Arts Program in English.
  • Preference will be given to students who have applied to the University of Toronto Master of Arts Program in English.
  • Academic merit and financial need are also considered.

Mississauga Board of Trade Award in Commerce and Management

  • Awarded to full-time U of T Mississauga students upon completion of Year 1
  • Must be enrolled in either a Management or Commerce Program
  • Have extensive involvement in community-based volunteer activities.
  • Academic merit and financial need are also considered.
  • Preference is given to students who are Mississauga residents.

Paul W. Fox Scholarship

  • Awarded to the best all-round full-time U of T Mississauga student who has extensive participation in student activities on or off-campus and community service.
  • Must have completed Year 3
  • Academic merit is also considered.

Pragya Narula Memorial Scholarship

  • Awarded to an upper-year commerce student at UTM on the basis of academic merit.
  • Demonstrated excellence and commitment to the community through the leadership and mentorship of current or prospective students.

  • Full-time UTM student enrolled in a Science program in Year 2 or 3
  • Has volunteer community service

Robert Rawlings Scholarship

  • Full-time UTM students participating in a Study Abroad program, Exchange Program or an independently arranged Research Opportunity with an institution approved and recognized by UTM
  • The course or research will be accredited to the student's UTM degree

Rotary Club of Mississauga West - "Service Above Self"

  • Awarded to full-time U of T Mississauga students registered in Year 2 or higher
  • CGPA 3.0 or higher
  • Have extensive involvement in community-based volunteer activities in the Mississauga community.
  • Demonstrated financial need by qualifying for a government student loan for 2021-22 or 2022-23

  • Full-time UTM student enrolled in an Anthropology Specialist, Major or Minor
  • Demonstrated record of social activism
  • Write an essay on the importance of non-violence in international relations and world peace

Sobanski-Armstrong Scholarship

  • Full-time UTM student who is applying to medical school in Canada.
  • Preference is given to those applying to the undergraduate Medical Education Program at U of T, students entering a graduate program in a health science, or science discipline with a health application at U of T

  • Full-time UTM student with extensive involvement in community-based volunteer activities
  • A resident of Peel Region

UTM Get Finished Scholarship

  • Part-time domestic or international UTM student
  • Has completed 17.5 credits or more and began their education in 2015 or earlier
  • Academic merit is considered (CGPA of 1.5 or higher)

UTM Residence Community In-Course Scholarships

  • Full-time UTM student living on-campus with extensive involvement in the community and Student Residence activities
  • Attained a minimum CGPA of 2.0

UTM Residence Community Entrance Scholarships

  • UTM student living on campus and starting full-time studies in September 2022
  • Extensive involvement in community-based volunteer activities prior to entering university
  • Attained high academic achievement (80%+) in Grade 12U/M equivalent courses

UTM Student Recognition Award of Achievement

  • Full-time student in Year 2 or higher at UTM
  • Obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0
  • Involved in extra-curricular activities related to U of T Mississauga
  • This award is chosen by the UTM Student Recognition Award of Achievement Committee, comprised of students serving on the UTMSU

Women and Gender Studies Prize

  • Full-time or part-time UTM student enrolled in a major or minor in the Women and Gender Studies Program.
  • Self-identifies as either Indigenous or Black   
  • Demonstrate financial need

Student Leader Entrance Scholarship

  • Full-time student at UTM in September 2022
  • Obtained 80% or above in Grade 12U/M equivalent courses
  • Demonstrated leadership through involvement in high school extra-curricular activities
