Established in 1967, the University of Toronto Mississauga is U of T's second largest division with a student population of just over 16,000.

Our award-winning facilities are situated on 225 acres of protected greenbelt along the Credit River, 33 kilometres west of U of T’s Downtown Toronto (St. George) Campus.

Senior students complete a year-long internship or research project in their area of interest. Research opportunities are also available through 299Y and 399Y courses.
Commerce
Credits earned in the Accounting Specialist program are recognized towards fulfilling the prerequisites for entry into the CPA Professional Education Program.
Communication, Culture, Information & Technology
The Professional Experience Certificate in Digital Media, Communication and Technology program provides eligible students the opportunity to integrate two paid work placements into their ICCIT program of study.
Computer Science, Mathematics & Statistics
UTM offers a selection of new robotics courses, including Introduction to Mobile Robotics (CSC477H5), which focuses on the computational side of robotic systems.
Forensic Science
The Crime Scene House allows Forensic Science students to investigate simulated crime scenes in a realistic setting. You’ll learn how to preserve, document and process the scene using appropriate equipment and procedures.
Humanities
Students in Historical Studies are taught by some of the leading scholars in the world. Many of our renowned faculty members have won both national and international research awards.
Life Sciences
Field courses are university credit courses that take place away from the university campus, usually at a research station in a rural or wilderness location.
Management
The Professional Skills Development Program (PDSP) complements classroom learning with soft skills development through participation in a variety of events.

Theatre Erindale, the production company of the Theatre and Drama Studies program, presents a full season of plays in the intimate, state-of-the-art Erindale Studio Theatre.
Visual Studies
The Annie Smith Arts Centre comprises 10,000 square feet of working space built with many artist-friendly features. The centre houses 60 individual workstations for use by third- and fourth-year Art & Art History students.

Fantasies, Hoaxes and Misrepresentations of the Ancient World (ANT210H5)
The anatomy of significant hoaxes, outrageous claims, and archaeology in popular culture are examined. How do we critically evaluate potential hoaxes?
Global Climate Change (GGR377H5)
The main focus of this course is upon the climatic aspects of environmental change which affect Great Lakes water levels, disappearing glaciers, sea level rise, desertification and dwindling water resources in a more populous world.
Foundations of Money and Banking (ECO348H5)
This course explores a range of topics on the theories of money and banking. The strategy of the course is to develop a series of models to examine the importance of money and banks.
Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (CSC384H5)
A broad introduction to the sub-disciplines of AI. Core topics include search methods, game playing and rule-based systems.
Bad Romance (ENG277H5)
This course covers romances of the eighteenth to the twenty-first century, ranging from the amatory (stories about love, longing, and desire) to the fantastic (the supernatural and fantasy).
Monsters (VCC205H5)
This course examines monster movies and television shows alongside readings from monster literature, comics, and critical essays. It considers the social significance of the monster to learn about how the threat of the monster relates to historical anxieties.

Courtney Jones, Class of 2019, Finance
In the fall of 2019, Courtney Jones joined the incoming class of Harvard Law School (HLS), a place steeped in a tradition of rigorous legal reasoning and analysis that spans back more than two centuries.
It is a challenge she feels ready to meet head-on, thanks in large part to the ongoing support she has received from her tight-knit family, and community of friends and faculty at University of Toronto Mississauga.
Jones pursued a major in economics and specialization in finance because it would add value to her as a lawyer later on.
"I always thought it would be really interesting to be an advocate for small businesses and help them grow, expand and develop."
Wali Shah, Class of 2018, Sociology, Political Science & History
Wali Shah is a spoken word artist who performed at WeDay in 2014 alongside Selena Gomez and Kendrick Lamar, and is an ambassador for Crime Stoppers International and Bell Let's Talk.
Shah speaks at schools, empowering youth and raising awareness on issues like anti-bullying, mental health and social change. He was the City of Mississauga's poet laureate from 2017 to 2019.
"Poetry was always my outlet," he says. "If I was mad about something, if I was emotional about something, if something really provoked thought in one of the classes that I was taking, I could write a poem about it and just express it. That was the greatest feeling."
George Alevizos, Class of 2019, Theatre and Drama Studies
UTM Grad George Alevizos is changing the channel on representation in film and TV. He graduated from U of T in June 2019 with a degree in Theatre and Drama Studies. So far, he has appeared in Star Trek: Discovery, TV commercials as well as Theatre Erindale productions.
"I think it’s really important to see yourself being represented properly on screen or in theatre," says Alevizos.
