Start early with summer events, such as UTM Head Start, a series of interactive, discipline-specific sessions led by faculty, librarians, and staff; the Summer Academic Skills Institute (S.A.S.I), a comprehensive learning and academic skills program for all incoming UTM students with disabilities; and New Student Advising, your one-stop shop for everything related to course and program enrolment.

EagleConnect

EagleConnect: Your New Student Community

EagleConnect is a new Pre-Arrival Transition Program, run through the CSE. New students are put into Eagle Squads, which are new student communities. These communities, housed on Quercus, are overseen by upper year student leaders, who can provide insight and experience during this transition.

Each week, students are given new and valuable information such as deadlines, to-do items, and other tips for a successful transition into UTM.

Students are automatically enrolled into the program, making their access to this information immediately available to students once the program launches in June.

EagleOrientation

EagleOrientation: Your Official Welcome!

Through your Eagle Squads you will gain access to virtual events like EagleOrientation (formerly known as O-Week). EagleOrientation has virtual events in July and August (in addition to September) to help you become more familiar with your new campus.

This orientation program is designed to help you transition to university. Make meaningful connections with your peers and professors, learn how to be academically successful, discover valuable resources and supports, and participate in fun activities to launch your success here at UTM!
