Sarah Hillewaert awarded the UTM Annual Research Prize for Social Sciences

Sarah Hillewaert, Associate Professor of Anthropology at UTM, was awarded the 2018-19 UTM Annual Research Prize for Social Sciences. Each year the award honours three outstanding early career faculty members based upon outstanding contributions to research and scholarship in the disciplines of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences. The award was presented at the Annual Research Prize Symposium at UTM on November 28, 2019, where Prof. Hillewaert gave a talk about her research on East African social relations during a time of substantial change and globalization.
