UTM Anthropology student Aleesha Singh and her project partner Aimee Padillo were recently awarded first place in the Young Entrepreneur Conference (YEC) case competition, winning the $1000 prize. The Young Entrepreneur Conference (YEC) brings together student and industry leaders who share a passion for business, technology and entrepreneurship. The conference theme was design thinking and how we can enhance and expand the current digital realm in each industry. The case competition focused on addressing how to innovate Amazon Music's user experience using design thinking and a customer-centric approach. Aleesha and Aimee are fifth-year students who do not have an academic background in business and communications; just simply a passion that lead them to first place!
