IMI’s Embedded Counsellor, which is the counsellor assigned to IMI, is happy to meet with you any time.
To arrange an appointment, call the HCC at 905-828-5255, indicate you’re an IMI graduate student, and that can be arranged.

If you’d like to go off-campus for counselling services, as graduate students, you are covered under the UTGSU Health & Dental Plan for up to $500/year in counselling services. This can be paid directly (vs. you having to pay and be reimbursed) – you just need to provide the UTGSU Card.

Offers 24-hour crisis intervention services (phone and outreach) to people who are in crisis. Phones are staffed by mental health workers. Outreach in response to a crisis in the community is done by a mental health worker and a specially trained police officer

Community Safety Office
Offers support, advice and information about intervention options for individuals who have had their personal safety compromised. They will assist in the development of a safety plan and provide referrals to appropriate resources on/off campus. Weekly office hours are held on the UTM campus.
