Full Instructions:

  1. Participate in 3 eligible* virtual physical activity sessions anytime between January 18 – February 12, 2021. All fitness levels are welcome!
    • Note: some sessions, such as those offered by the RAWC, require pre-registration – see further information below.
    • At the beginning of each virtual session, please identify your full name in the chat and indicate you are participating in the #MoveUNewU Challenge. This information will be used to record and verify your participation. 
    • Please note, only UTM students are eligible to participate in this contest.
  2. Once you have completed all 3 activities, fill out the #MoveUNewU Virtual Passport.
  3. Completed passports will be entered into a randomized draw for the following three (3) prizes: Fitbit Inspire 2 Fitness Tracker, Beats Flex All-Day Wireless Earphones, and a $25 Sportchek E-Gift Card. Three (3) winners will be selected in late February 2021, after verification of participation. Winners will be subsequently provided with information regarding next steps on how to claim their prize.

#MoveUTM Consult with a UTM Fitness Specialist

Interested in working out but don’t know how to get started? Work out regularly but want advice on modifying your workouts from home? Take advantage of our #MoveUTM Consult, in which a UTM Fitness Specialist will help you Define your Goals, Optimize your Space, and Explore our Virtual Programming to find the right fit for you while training from home.

Woman on Weights (WOW) Workshop

 

This program has been created to empower females/female identified participants, while debunking myths around why females often avoid weight training. Start the year off right and join our Women on Weights (WOW) workshop to learn about the benefits of weight training and to help guide you through the process of getting started with an at home weight training program. No equipment? No problem! We will be using household items in place of your traditional dumbbells.

I am not a UTM student. Can I still participate? 

Unfortunately, this contest is only open to UTM students at this time.

Can I participate in tri-campus classes or activities? 

Please refer to the List of Eligible Activities (above) to see which activities can count towards your MoveU NewU Passport. 

Can I complete more than one passport?

Yes, multiple entries are permissible.

Can I participate in the same drop-in class each week and use it for validation each time? 

Yes.

Do I have to attend every event listed?

No, just 3 instances of activities!
