Shaun Young is the Manager of Research Administration and Operations for UTM’s Office of the Vice-Principal, Research and Innovation (OVPRI). He is responsible for supporting the UTM research and innovation community by helping to ensure the effective and efficient management of the administrative and operational activities of the OVPRI and facilitating the implementation of Campus-wide priorities and directions established by the Vice-Principal, Research and Innovation. Since completing his DPhil in Political Science and a SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship, Shaun has held a variety of increasingly senior roles in research and innovation support services at Canadian universities, including serving as the Director of the Office of the Vice-Principal Research & Innovation at UTSC and, most recently, as the Research Officer for the Rotman Institute of Philosophy at Western University. Prior to his work in academia, Shaun spent six years working in public policy development and research planning in a number of Ministries in the Ontario government.
