NSB Research Facilities Manager
After receiving his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Saskatchewan, Quang joined the Michael G. DeGroote Institute for Infectious Disease Research at McMaster University, where he worked on antibiotic natural products discovery using machine learning. His last position was at Dalriada Drug Discovery, where he was a Team Lead in Medicinal Chemistry, working on multiple synthetic medicinal chemistry projects. Quang brings many years of experience in R&D encompassing organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, medicinal chemistry and possesses extensive knowledge in lab operations, safety, and instruments.
Now, Quang oversees day-to-day operational needs for the New Science Building core and shared research spaces, and venture hub, SpinUp.
