UTM Office of V.P., Research Staffing Announcement
Veron will serve as the main point of contact for our unit in the Health Sciences Complex and will coordinate many OVPR efforts including scheduling, events’ assistance, overseeing our ethics committee, producing research reports, and disseminating information. Veron has served a number of roles at U of T Mississauga since 2010, working in the Recreation, Athletics, and Wellness Centre, as well as within the Institute for Management and Innovation, most recently as the Program Coordinator, Academics, for the Master of Management & Professional Accounting (MMPA). An avid globetrotter who has visited 47 countries, Veron will no doubt contribute a rich perspective to the OVPR, and will also be the (unofficial) go-to resource for all travel tips.
Secondly, Rong Wu has taken on the new role of Internal Competitions & Events Coordinator. Having served as Administrative Assistant for the OVPR since 2014, her superior strengths emerged in balancing the suite of internal funding competitions that our office has added over the past five years, as well as demonstrating her exemplary organizational aptitude for overseeing the range of events we run annually. Rong will still be within the fold of the OVPR but will now be situated in the Collaborative Digital Research Space in Maanjiwe nendamowinan, Room 3230.
We are happy to welcome Veron and to recognize Rong on this well deserved new role. Both will serve to further elevate and enhance the service that the OVPR provides to the UTM community.
