Mental Health Screening

This section helps us determine the appropriateness of PSP peer support and whether additional care may be needed.

Are you currently experiencing any mental health issues?

Information message

At your first and every subsequent meeting, your mentor will complete a brief mental health screening with you. If the screening suggests that more support is needed, your mentor will help you connect with appropriate services.

Please note that if you are feeling unsafe or if this is an emergency, please contact one of the following resources for immediate support:

  • TELUS Health Student Support App (formerly My SSP)
    Available 24/7, Call 1-844-451-9700
Download from Apple App Store or Google Play

  • Suicide Crisis Helpline

  • In an Emergency? Call 911 or go to the nearest hospital Emergency Department

I authorize the PSP Program Facilitator to share my U of T email address with the Peer Mentor I am matched with.
