While you might want to bring your own electronics, you are also welcome to borrow laptops, chargers, and headphones from the Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre (aka the Library) at UTM for up to 5 hours at a time! Here are a couple electronics you might choose to bring:

    Dorm Room and Documentation

If you decide to live in a residence, there are a couple of things you would need to bring to complete your dorm. This list might be slightly different if you choose to stay off-campus. Similarly, documentation needed on hand might be different as well.

    • Bedding for twin-XL mattress (fitted sheets, duvet covers and/or blankets)
    • Pillow and pillowcases
    • Closet hangers
    • Items to personalize your room
    • Driver’s license/other supportive documentation
    • Health insurance information
    Cleaning supplies

    Kitchen and Cleaning Supplies

When it comes to kitchen supplies, you do not have to pack all of them. However, you may want to purchase them if you end up living in a townhouse or suit-style residence at UTM and decide to cook. You might also need them if you consider living off-campus. And like kitchen supplies, you do not need to pack cleaning supplies, but you might have to purchase them once you settle in.

    • Silverware & cooking utensils
    • Plates, bowls, and cups
    • Water filter
    • Lunchbox
    • Water bottle
    • Laundry basket and detergent
    • Paper towels
    • Dish soap and sponge
    • Toilet brush holder & toilet bowl cleaner
