The Career Centre offers students and recent graduates (up to two years after graduation) access to a variety of individual appointments, workshops, programs, employment services, events, drop-in services and resources. If you graduated more than two years ago and are wondering about career services available to you, please visit our Career Development Services for U of T alumni page.
Watch a video about our Career Development model below.
If you are unsure about your career direction or how your academic major relates to work after graduation, you may find it helpful to make an individual appointment with one of our professional Career Counsellors. Career Counsellors will also provide feedback on Personal Statements required for graduate schools. Contact the Career Centre to book an appointment.
Individual 30-minute appointments are available in the Career Centre. Online same-day sign-up is available on critique days starting at 9 a.m. For a list of critique days see our Events Calendar.
There is a limit of three critiques per term per student. So we can provide critiques to as many UTM students as possible, please call us at 905-828-5451 in advance if you need to cancel your appointment. Please refer to our late cancellation and no-show policy on your confirmation of registration.
Small group workshops help you begin your career planning and sharpen your work search skills. We offer a variety of workshops covering different phases in the career planning process. Check the list of workshops the Career Centre hosts, and check the Events Calendar for upcoming dates.
Career Exploration can help you make good decisions for your future, and it doesn't have to take a long time! Learn about how you can explore careers on your own and how you can gain access to UTM's three career exploration programs.
We have job postings for full-time work following graduation; Summer Employment; Part-time/Temporary; On-Campus; Ontario Work-Study Program on-campus jobs; and Volunteer opportunities.
