Specialized Resources for Students with Disabilities
Gaining experience outside of your studies is a great way to explore your options, discover your strengths and interests and build skills for your career. Complementary experience helps you leverage your studies into better positions on graduation and prepare you for success in the labour market. Explore ways to gain experience and what opportunities might be waiting for you!
The Career Centre is here to support your career growth during your degree studies and two years afterward. You can also enlist the help of agencies and programs in the GTA / Peel and Halton Regions that assist persons with disabilities to build meaningful careers. Organizations are listed by disability type.
No matter what stage you are at in navigating your career, it is important to be aware of your rights under the law. Consult these resources if you have questions about disclosing a disability and asking for accommodations or if you have been treated unfairly because of your disability or any other status or identity. We are here to help you problem-solve any workplace issues if they arise for up to two years after graduation.
